This Black Woman Built Her Tax Preparation Business to $250k in Annual Revenue, Now She’s Teaching Other Aspiring Entrepreneurs How to Build a Business in this Recession Proof Industry

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VIP Tax Pro Workshop

NATIONWIDE — Lashaundra Cox, President & CEO of VIP Tax Service in Detroit, Michigan, recently announced the launch of her new tax preparer training program, VIP Tax Pro Workshop. The workshop is a self-paced crash course in building a tax preparation business. It was created as a result of Lashaundra’s desire to help other entrepreneurs create multiple streams of income in the recession proof tax preparation industry. After successfully growing VIP Tax Service to over $250,000 in annual revenue, she decided that now is the time to teach her skills to aspiring tax preparers.

Lashaundra’s Knowledge Runs Deep

A long time lover of numbers, Lashaundra has spent over 10 years helping people file their personal and business taxes and save as much money as possible. Growing up in Detroit, she attended Martin Luther King Jr. High School where she participated in the MSAT (Math, Science, Applied Technology) program. In middle school she was also a DAPCEP program participant, so it’s no surprise that she decided to go into the tax preparation business. Students who participated in these programs are often gifted in the areas of science, technology, and finance. She’s also taken the appropriate tax preparation courses to further develop her skills and legally operate her business.

The Tax Preparation Business Has Been Life Changing

Lashaundra started off as a young mother, getting pregnant in the 12th grade. However, she didn’t let that stop her. She went on to work in corporate America for companies like AAA and Credit Acceptance Corporation. She quickly realized that a 9 to 5 wasn’t sustainable for her and she wanted more freedom to live her life on her own terms. The tax preparation industry has enabled her to do that and she is confident she can help others do the same through the VIP Tax Pro Workshop. She went from a $35,000 salary to a business generating $250,000 in annual revenue (and growing).

Helping Entrepreneurs Get Access to Resources & Build a 5 to 6 Figure Income

Now that VIP Tax Service is sustainable and growing, Lashaundra is ready to pay it forward. Not only is she offering the VIP Tax Pro Workshop to help new tax preparers get into the industry, she has also launched a website for entrepreneurs, called The Business Portal, where aspiring and existing entrepreneurs can find business resources, advice, and eBooks on doing business the right way. She stated:

“I went through a lot of trial and error. I didn’t have resources at my fingertips, I did things the long and wrong way. I took the long route. I want to give people the correct information so they start off right.”

This is why VIP Tax Pro Workshop and The Business Portal exist, to help entrepreneurs get it right the first time. To learn more, visit both sites. If you’re in need of tax services and you’re in the Metro Detroit area, you can visit Lashaundra and the VIP Tax Service team at their two locations on 11351 Morang, Detroit, MI 48224 and 18963 Livernois, Detroit, MI 48221.
