Deborah Dogba realized the value of owning a business at a very young age. Living in Togo (West Africa) during her teen years during a time of political unrest taught her the importance of entrepreneurship. She remembers not being able to go to school and her parents not being able to go to work (or access their money in the bank) because of Togo’s political climate in 1995. While her family was struggling to get by at this time, she recognized that shop owners in her neighborhood were surviving. This is when she realized having your own business was just as valuable as having a full time job working for someone else. From this point on she knew it was her purpose to invest in communities and arm them with entrepreneurial tools and resources so they can thrive. Her vision for her purpose in life stayed with her even after migrating to the United States in 2004.

What Separates Business Seals Consulting Firm from Other Companies in the Industry

Deborah says what differentiates Business Seals from other companies in the industry is their processes. Their approach is to assist with problem solving through a collaborative work by using community resources and network building. The name Business Seals comes from Navy Seals. They strive to be the Seals to businesses. A one stop shop. Just like the Navy Seals, Business Seals gets the mission accomplished.

Deborah Says Testing New Ideas & Keeping Up with Competition is Tough

Deborah says penetrating the market and testing assumptions and new ideas is a challenging part of entrepreneurship. Proving that her services address the identified pain point in the community takes a great deal of work. Keeping up with competition is also tough. This is the reason why creativity is very important. Once people start copying and replicating your ideas, as an entrepreneur, you have to be creative and innovative to stand out.

Deborah’s Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs – Never Stop Learning from Your Mistakes

Deborah says that “no matter what obstacle you face on your entrepreneurial journey, never stop growing and learning from your mistakes.” You will be challenged, you will face unbelief, people will let you down but keep the vision alive and don’t stop. Always strive for excellence. She says, “solve problems first and money will follow.” To learn more from Deborah Dogba, check out her entrepreneurship classes at The Start Center for Entrepreneurship and connect with her via her corporate website and social media: LinkedIn  and Facebook. You can also schedule an appointment with her online here.
