As a native of Nigeria, Adeola Ayanwale was always encouraged to become an Engineer or Doctor. In Nigeria, those were the fields known to create high incomes and build wealth at the time. This is why she went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Biology & Chemistry. However, after completing her undergraduate degree in 2005, she began reading about finance and money management. What she learned turned into a passion for financial literacy. It also contributed to her decision to get a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston. Her passion for finance married with a love for educating people on the subject of finance resulted in the birth of A & E Financial Services.

A One-On-One Approach that Helps People Become Better Money Managers
What separates A & E Financial Services from other tax preparers (like HR Block) is the team’s one-on-one approach to working with clients. The services are not “cookie cutter”. They are very individualized and the team works diligently to understand each client’s unique situation. This approach enables the team to provide customized solutions to each client. Furthermore, the team not only provides a service but also educates the client (on various financial matters) so they can improve their understanding of managing money and building wealth.
Adeola’s Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Adeola says one of the biggest challenges in owning a small business is having to wear multiple hats (and play different roles within the business). You’ll have to adapt to that while the business is growing. She also stressed the importance of having the right set of people working with you. Finding and assembling the right team members can be a challenge. It’s important that you understand your business needs and work style so you choose the best people to partner with. She also suggests that aspiring entrepreneurs study their industry very well before diving in. She says, “entrepreneurship can be tough, you need to have a strong understanding of what it takes to be successful in your industry and a strong support system”. People who encourage you when you are down will help keep you motivated.
